Hola buenas.. Soy nuevo en el mundo de ASP .Net y tengo problemas para conectarme a la base de datos de SQL Server 2000. Ni siquiera he logrado que me ejecute lo siguiente <%@ Page Language="VB" Debug="true" %> <%@ Import Namespace="System.Data" %> <%@ Import Namespace="System.Data.SqlClient" %> Testing Trusted SQL Server Connection in ADO.NET Simple Select to a DataGrid Control Me arroja el siguiente error "An error has occurred while establishing a connection to the server. When connecting to SQL Server 2005, this failure may be caused by the fact that under the default settings SQL Server does not allow remote connections. (provider: Named Pipes Provider, error: 40 - Could not open a connection to SQL Server)"

intenta con esto : desde programas - SQL server 2005 entra a configuration tools luego a sql server surface area configuration ... luego dale click a surface area configuration for services and connections luego en la pestaña view by instance en mSSQLSERVER...DATABASE ENGINE asegurate q tu tu servicio este iniciado y en remote connections prueba probandolo en LOCAL AND REMOTE CONNECTIONS (USING BOTH TCP/IP AND NAMED-PIPES) por defecto deberia estar en local connections only (si es q no estas en red) ojala te ayude esto
